Capital One Cup Quarter Final Draw: Liverpool & Man City Avoid Each Other

Capital One CupThe draw for the quarter final of the Capital One Cup took place tonight and favourites Manchester City and Liverpool avoided each other.

Liverpool booked their place in the hat after edging past Bournemouth 1-0 at Anfield with Nathaniel Clyne scoring the only goal of the game in the 17th minute.

Jurgen Klopp’s men will now travel to St Mary’s to take on Southampton after the South Coast club beat Aston Villa 2-1 on Wednesday night.

Manchester City breezed into the last eight after thrashing Crystal Palace 5-1 at the Etihad and Manuel Pellegrini’s side will now entertain Hull City in the quarter finals.

Sheffield Wednesday disposed of Arsenal on Tuesday night and they’ve been rewarded with a trip to face Stoke City after they knocked Chelsea out on penalties.

Manchester United crashed out to Middlesbrough after a 3-1 shoot-out loss at Old Trafford and the Championship side will now face Everton at the Riverside.

The games will be played on the 1st and 2nd of December.
