[Video Goals] Chelsea 1-3 Liverpool: Coutinho Double Puts Mourinho On The Brink

By on October 31, 2015

The pressure is mounting on Jose Mourinho’s shoulders after Liverpool ran out 3-1 victors over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues started brightly and opened the scoring when Ramires was on hand to head home a Cesar Azpilicueta cross in just the fourth minute.

However, Liverpool levelled things up on the stroke of half-time when Philippe Coutinho curled home a stunning effort from the edge of the area for 1-1.

The visitors enjoyed large spells of possession after the break and it was that man Coutinho again who put Liverpool ahead with another fine effort in the 74th minute.

Chelsea pushed for an equaliser but it was Liverpool who wrapped things up as Chrsitian Benteke came off the bench to fire home a third in the 83rd minute.

There was no way back for Chelsea so Liverpool ran out 3-1 victors to hand Jurgen Klopp his first Premier League win as manager, but the big news is Mourinho and the writing could now be on the wall for the Portuguese coach.
