By on August 20, 2016

Chelsea scored two late goals to come from behind and seal a 2-1 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.

After a goalless opening forty-five minutes, the hosts opened the scoring when Etienne Capoue chester down a deep cross before lashing home in to the roof of the net for 1-0 in the 55th minute.

Chelsea pushed for an equaliser and found the breakthrough with ten minutes remaining as Gomes spilled Eden Hazard’s low shot and summer signing Michy Batshuayi was on hand to tap home the rebound from close range for 1-1.

Antonio Conte’s men went all-out to find a winner and Diego Costa dully obliged as he raced on to a superb through-ball from substitute Cesc Fabregas before cooly slotting home for 2-1 in the 87th minute.

The win maintains Chelsea’s 100% record this season after Costa also scored a late winner over West Ham last Monday night.
