Ronaldo’s Agent In Talks With Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs After Ruling Out Mourinho Reunion

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent has made contact with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham about a summer move after the Real Madrid star ruled out a return to Man Utd

The January transfer window in now closed so it’s time to look at those deals that didn’t get over the line and those being lined-up for the summer. Today, Ronaldo is linked with a move to London…

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent has made contact with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham about a sensational summer move after the Real Madrid star ruled out a return to Manchester United, according to reports in France via TeamTalk.

Ronaldo has been battling it out with Lionel Messi for the title of ‘World’s best Player’ for the last decade with the Portuguese superstar winning the Ballon d’Or five times in the last ten years.

The 33-year-old has scored an incredible 429 goals in just 422 games to help Madrid win a whole host of trophies including 2 La Liga titles and 3 Champions League’s.

However, Ronaldo’s future at the Bernabeu has been cast in doubt with widespread reports suggesting he’s unsettled in Spain and will push for a move this summer if he’s not offered a lucrative new contract.

Predictably, Ronaldo has once again been linked with a return to Man Utd but TeamTalk are citing a report from Le10 Sport that claims he’s now ruled out a move to Old Trafford after Jose Mourinho signed a new deal.

The French outlet says Ronaldo has no intention of working with Mourinho again after the two fell out during their time together at Madrid so the forward has now instructed agent Jorge Mendes to find him a club in London.

It seems the super-agent has already got the ball rolling as the report claims Mendes has made contact with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham to discuss a potential move this summer while he’s also began house-hunting in Surrey.

Obviously it would be amazing to see Ronaldo back in the Premier League but I just don’t see a move to any of the London clubs as being realistic at this time as he would demand HUGE wages.

Arsenal have loosened their purse-strings recently but I still don’t think they’d be able to stretch to Ronaldo-levels while there is virtually no chance Tottenham could afford him with a strict wage structure in place.

Chelsea could theoretically afford what ever they want but Roman Abramovich has scaled back his spending in recent years and I’m not convinced he’d be prepared to splash out on a 33-year-old Ronaldo.

I personally think all these reports are just designed to get him a better deal at Madrid but if Ronaldo ever did return to England I feel only United or City could afford him.
