Manchester City will be looking to secure their first piece of silverware this season when they take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

Here is the side I think Pep Guardiola will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: The City boss has confirmed he will resist the temptation to start Ederson and will stick with Claudio Bravo between the sticks as the Chilean international has played in every round of the competition so far.

Defence: Guardiola has a decision to make at left-back as Fabian Delph is suspended following his sending off against Wigan while Benjamin Mendy is still recovering from a serious knee injury. Oleksandr Zinchenko started during the win over Leicester City earlier this month and the 21-year-old could be given the nod again on Sunday.

Vincent Kompany came through the Champions League win over Basel unscathed so the skipper could start against Arsenal with John Stones having to make-do with a place on the bench.

Nicolas Otamendi is expected to get a recall in defence with Aymeric Laporte making way while Kyle Walker should line-up at right-back with Danilo dropping out following his appearance against Wigan.

Midfield: Fernandinho will no doubt keep his place in the holding role but Kevin De Bruyne is certain to be recalled to the starting eleven after being a substitute in the FA Cup defeat on Monday night.

Ilkay Gundogan is expected to be the man to make way as David Silva is likely to keep his place in midfield.

Attack: Raheem Sterling missed the defeat at Wigan with a muscle injury and is a doubt for the League Cup final so Bernado Silva could keep his place on the right side of attack this weekend.

Leroy Sane could also keep his place on the opposite flank despite the German international being substituted at half-time on Monday night.

Gabriel Jesus is pushing to return to the squad after returning to training following a swift recovery from a knee injury. However, after so long on the sidelines a place on the bench is the best he can hope for so Sergio Aguero should start up front.

Here is how I think we’ll see City line-up:
