Manchester United will be looking to maintain second place in the table when they take on Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Here is the team I think Jose Mourinho will pick for the game:

Goalkeeper: David De Gea proved once again why he’s one of the best goalkeepers in the world with another stunning performance in midweek so he’s certain to keep his place between the sticks.

Defence: Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo have once again been ruled out after failing to recover from knocks while Daley Blind is also still unavailable for selection with an ankle injury.

However, Eric Bailly is pushing to make his first start in over three months after recovering from ankle surgery so he could lined-up alongside Chris Smalling with Victor Lindelof the man to make way.

Ashley Young is favourite to start at left-back ahead of Luke Shaw while Antonio Valencia is certain to keep his place on the opposite side of the back four.

Midfield: All eyes will be on Mourinho to see if he recalls Paul Pogba after dropping the midfielder for the last two games amid reports of a bust-up in training.

Scott McTominay put-in a mature display against Sevilla but I think Pogba will come back in to the midfield this weekend and he’ll have a point to prove against Chelsea.

Ander Herrera has been ruled out for a number of weeks after aggravating a hamstring injury so Jesse Lingard could be deployed in a slightly deeper midfield role but Nemanja Matic will once again start in the holding position.

Attack: No doubt Romelu Lukaku will once again lead the line up front despite coming under some criticism for his performance during the 0-0 Champions League draw in midweek.

Alexis Sanchez was also not at his best over in Spain on Wednesday night but he should keep his place on the left-side of the attack and Mourinho will be looking to the Chilean star for some magic.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are pushing for a recalls in attack but I think the Frenchman will get the nod to start against Chelsea with Juan Mata making way.

Here is how we think United will line-up:
