By on May 14, 2018

The summer transfer window is just around the corner and managers are working hard on their transfer targets so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Elseid Hysaj is linked with Man Utd…

Manchester United are ready to sign Napoli full-back Elseid Hysaj this summer by agreeing to pay his £44m release clause, according to the Sun.

Hysaj came through the youth system at Empoli before earning a move to Napoli in the summer of 2015 and he’s developed in to one of the best right-backs in Italian football over the past three years.

The 24-year-old has been virtually ever-present this season to help Maurizio Sarri’s side push Juventus all the way in the Serie A title race before falling short at the final hurdle.

Their failure to win the Scudetto could see several of Napoli’s key players seek moves away over the coming months and the Sun claim Hysaj is expected to be one of the first to leave this summer.

The Albanian international’s impressive performances have caught the eye of Manchester United scouts and the newspaper says Mourinho is now ready to meet the full-backs £44m release clause.

Mourinho is gearing-up for another busy summer as the United boss knows he needs to strengthen his squad if they’re to compete with the likes of Manchester City for top honours next season.

A new right-back is a priority as Matteo Darmian is set for a move back to Italy after falling out of favour while Antonio Valencia turns 33 in August so a long-term replacement is desperately needed.
