Ferguson: “We Played Like Champions”

By on April 3, 2011

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson claimed that his gutsy side put up a “championship performance” having won their match against West Ham 4-2 despite needing to overcome a 0-2 deficit. A joyful Ferguson gave credits to his players after seeing them put up an amazing performance.

We played like champions. It was a real championship performance as far as I’m concerned.

When asked how does his side produce such outstanding comebacks, the proud Red Devils manager added,

They’ve got the ability to turn it around – that’s the first thing. They also have got great faith in themselves, faith in the team, faith in their team-mates.

With 7 games left for Sir Alex Ferguson’s men to play, they have now stretched their lead to seven points after Arsenal (one game in hand) disappointedly drew 0-0 against Blackburn Rovers.
