[POLL] Bale, Nasri, Nani or Wilshere: PFA Young Player – You Decide!

By on April 7, 2011

So it’s poll time and we’re asking you guys to vote on who should win the PFA Young Player of The Year. The nominees are Nani (Manchester United), Bale (Tottenham Hotspur), Nasri (Arsenal FC), Wilshere (Arsenal FC), Hart (Manchester City), Coleman (Everton).

First order of business, I will tell you guys who I personally, a Liverpool fan am voting for, being that it is after all the YOUNG Player of The Year award. I’m going for Wilshere, who has made the biggest step up, although Gareth Bale does challenge him in that aspect. Vote away!

    @ Jim

This is the YOUNG player of the year, not Player of the year.

The fact that i’m an arsenal fan doesn’t mean i’m sentimental, but the truth is wilshere has performed excellently well even more than his age and the only challenge he has is Gareth Bale and Nasri. Kudos to you Jack and the entire arsenal fans.

Why Bale? The media have fooled the public. Gareth Bale is potentially a top player, no doubt. A wingers main job is to provide. Do you know how many assists he has in the prem? 1.
Van de sar has 1 too!
Nani has 13. Why is there a debate?
Bale has played devastatingly in two champions league games. These awards are for performance in the pl only.
I am not being sarcastic when I say that the only award bale should win ( if it was available) is ‘best individual game in cl’ and there would be many contenders

agree. Should be Nasri or Hart based on consistancy. Whilshere as good as he is, is also being overrated, its the commentators and media that are doing this and feeding the minds of the listeners. They killed off Walcott by putting to much pressure on him.

These guys have all had a fantastic football year.Gareth and Jack have been a big revelation, Joe has also done well benching an experience and reliable keeper like Shay Given. Nani and Nasri have brought in a lot of creativity into the midfield of their respective clubs. Truly they all deserve the award base on contribution but we must especially applaud the maturity, consistency and overall team contribution of Jack Wilshere which I believe has helped Arsenal this season.

Nani is 24!!!! I think he and nasri should be up for the player of the season, they’ve both been great but ffs, this is nani’s 4th season at Utd, and he was playing 1st team football for some time before that! It was a joke when ashley young won it. It doesn’t make sense for players with tonnes of experience to be competing with players who are in their 1st or 2nd season of regular football.
Shouldn’t this award go to a *young* player, ie under 21?! Wilshere, bale and coleman have all been quality this year, it would make sense if one of those 3 won it. Rafael would make sense as well. Don’t like him much, but he’s been consistently top class this year.
