REPORTS: Chelsea Make Move For Carlos Tevez

By on June 12, 2011

A report in the footy bunker suggests Chelsea will make a vigilant approach to Manchester City regarding club captain Carlos Tevez and his current availability.

Carlos Tevez has consistently made claims contradicting his future at City. It was believed he was set on a move to Italy and then the striker appeared to hint at a move to either the Catalans or the Bernabeu, however is seemed most likely that the Argentine was to move back to his native homeland.

But to add yet another twist to this on-going transfer saga, Chelsea have now been linked with the former Manchester United forward.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has been linked with an array of possible targets this summer and wants Turkey manager Guus Hiddink in charge before he sanctions any mega money moves this summer.

Manchester City will not their top scorer and club captain go cheaply and will want at least £50million for the 27-year old, but it is unlikely City boss Roberto Mancini will let Tevez leave for another Premiership club. If Tevez was to leave the Eastlands this summer, Inter Milan or Real Madrid are the most likely destinations.

I don’t want him at Chelsea. Yes sure he’s a great player, but he’s also a money grabbing mercenary!! Let’s have Torres and Neymar up front and focus on getting a fantastic playmaker like Modric in the picture too!!

i agree with McBang, if youre going to spend that type of money lets gets some youth and people we wouldnt have to drop 200k a week on as well for wages, for 50 we could almost buy modric and neymar, plus we all know tevez hates england, its not like the weather in manchester is astronomically different from london

I can see this happening. Makes sense why he had a go at Manchester and not England.
Tevez was all smiles at utd, and has been depressed since joining city. This is understandable. It’s a massive step down.
He’s a great player and I think Torres needs him to succeed at chelsea.
Manchester is a great city. The problem for tevez is, he’s far to stupid to learn English. He can’t speak it on a basic level after 5 years in the country. Pathetic.
