‘I Think Gerrard Will Lead Liverpool To Top Four Finish’

By on September 21, 2011

Ex-Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier believes his old club can reclaim their top four status this season.

Despite their stuttering start to the season the Frenchman believes Steve Gerrard could make all the difference when he returns from a six month spell on the sidelines, and feels Liverpool will do enough to claim a top four spot. He said:

“I think they’ll finish in the top four. I believe in them.

“Don’t forget Steven Gerrard is not playing and, when he comes back, he’ll make a difference.”

Liverpool have just lost back-to-back Premiership games which included defeat to fellow Champions League rivals Tottenham and Stoke respectively.
