Arsene Wenger Questions His Potential Replacement

By on September 27, 2011

Arsene Wenger claims the club would not benefit if they decided to part with his services.

The Frenchman has been heavily criticised this season after a torrid start to the new campaign, with some questioning his coaching ability as well as his ability to attract the calibre of players to maintain a title challenge. Despite some calling for Wenger to be axed, the Gunners boss admits the club would find it difficult to find a suitable replacement.

“I never complained about the criticism I had, I can completely understand,” Wenger told arsenal.com. “I am responsible for the results, I take that and I say that always.

“When you sack your manager you have to look for somebody else and he will lose games too. After a while it is not so easy to find managers.

“I can tell you because I know so many clubs who look for people and I can understand why we get the sack. But you look at clubs who change their manager every six months, they do not go further.”

Despite a poor start, the Gunners got back to a winning ways with a win against Bolton at the weekend.

I will say to all arsenal fans to stop criticising both the manager and the players but pray for God’s help to see them through over this season.

This was NOT a story worth publishing. The likes of you want to disstabelise the club by giving the impression that management is it tartars

What a waste of time article. Yes he has been criticised, but mainly by the likes of you lot blowing things out of proportion in order to get mugs like me providing you with hits.

fair story in my view…even delusional wenger knows he has critics. I do not agree that a replacement for him cannot be found as plenty of good managers would jump at the chance to manage this great club. Some already do a good job in the premier league.
Maybe wenger is just saying these things to calm down the criticism of him and soften the determination by some fans to get rid of him.
