Arsenal beat Fulham 4-0 at the Emirates to cement third spot in the premier league. First half goals from Andrey Arshavin, Robin Van Persie and an own goal from Chris Baird saw Arsenal take a comfortable 3-0 half time lead. Carlos Vela then rounded the game off with Arsenal’s fourth. The result sealed third place for Arsenal, although their rivals Spurs lost 4-2 at Burnley so the Gunners would have finished third regardless.

Theo Walcott’s right wing cross was flicked on by Emmanuel Eboue, only for Fulham’s Chris Baird to slice into his own net for Arsenal’s third.

Carlos Vela was introduced with 15 minutes remaining and scored the goal of the game, Samir Nasri sent him clear and the Mexican forward scored with a trade-mark chip to score Arsenal’s fourth and final goal.

Carlos Vela needs time and marches to play I believe he will play a big role next season if he can play continuously for at least 15-30 minutes per game
