Neymar Speaks Out On Chelsea Approach & Possible Future Move

By on November 18, 2011

Brazilian sensation Neymar has revealed he rejected a move to Chelsea last year while also confirming he will move to Europe at one stage in his career.

Premier League giants Chelsea have been tracking the samba starlet for almost 2 years now and were thought to have made a £35m bid last year. Neymar confirmed the approach and has no regrets in rejecting the Blues advances in favour of staying with Santos in Brazil.

However, the 19-year-old, who is also being watched by Spanish duo Real Madrid and Barcelona, has claimed he will move to Europe one day, with Spain, Italy or England the likely destination:

“Last year’s proposition from Chelsea? I really have no regret,” Neymar told France Football magazine.

“From the moment I decided to remain in my own country I thought it was right.

“Without that decision I would not have won the Copa Libertadores, a title which Santos was waiting almost 50 years for.”

“Obviously I am dreaming to play in Europe. I don’t know when but one day I will go.

“I have always loved Spanish football, but there are other leagues that attract me too, like Italy or England.”
