Arsenal On Alert As Ligue 1 Ace “Wants To Be Transferred”

Arsenal have been alerted to the news that Marseille midfielder Lucho Gonzalez will demand a January transfer, according to his agent.

The Gunners tried to sign the Argentinian international in the summer, with a loan move close to being agreed until Marseille pulled out of the deal at the last minute insisting Gonzalez was part of their plans for the forthcoming season.

However the player has featured sparingly so far this season and mainly finds himself on the bench, and the 30-year-olds agent, Federico Simonian, has claimed his client will seek a move this January:

“You’ll have to ask Marseille why he wasn’t allowed to leave in August,” Gonzalez’s representative Federico Simonian told The Sun.

“Like every player he wants to make progress. He wants to be transferred to the Italian, Spanish or English leagues. Of course, he will be transferred to a team that deserves and appreciates him.”
