Chelsea battled past 10-man Benfica 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, winning 3-1 on aggregate to secure a semi final with Barcelona.

The home side took a 1-0 lead into the game from the first leg and doubled that advantage after 21 minutes when Lampard fired home from the penalty spot. The visitors task got even more difficult when captain Pereira was sent off for two bookable offences just before half time.

With full time only five minutes away Benfica got back in the tie when Garcia headed home from a corner, but Meireles made sure with a 20-yard rocket in injury-time. Watch video highlights from the game here:
