Hazard - Fergie confirms interest

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed his interest in Lille forward Eden Hazard, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 21-year-old is one of the hottest properties in European football after two impressive seasons in Ligue 1. This form has lead to interest from a number of Premier League clubs in recent months, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd and Tottenham all linked with a summer move (source: ESPN).

Sky Sports News reported two weeks ago that United were keeping tabs on the Belgian international and now Fergie himself has confirmed that he was impressed with the youngster when he took time to watch him in action against Lyon earlier this month.

When asked by French radio station RMC if he was at the Lille-Lyon game to watch Hazard, the United boss said:

“I was at the game and watched Hazard, as well as other players.

“That’s part of my job, looking at good players.

“Hazard is a very good player and has a lot of qualities. He’s particularly quick over the first 10 yards.”

Ferguson is quoted as saying by the Mirror.

So United are the latest club to confirm their interest in the exciting Hazard, who seems certain to make a move to the Premier League this summer. But the big question is; who will he join?

I think we’re getting to the stage where it is much quicker to list the clubs he has not been linked with. You wonder where it’s all coming from but it doesn’t bode well: sky high expectations already on this lad’s shoulders. Seems destined for Chelsea or Citeh where It doesn’t matter if he can live up to the hype or not.

He is good but the epl is a different ball game. It has the tendency to make exceptional players average. Its physical, its quick and yes its a contact sport so I wouldnt really bank on him being a success plus he is beginning to believe in the hype which is never a good thing.

probably going to be around £30,000,000 so let Man U have him i say, not at all shown enough to warrant that price tag, Lille and his agent know the more clubs linked with him the higher the price tag will go.

Arsenal Make stars we don’t buy them

If he’s going for £30M, then Nited can’t afford him.
Of course Arse make stars, as you can’t afford to buy them…
