Internacional have revealed they’ve received an enquiry for highly-rated midfielder Oscar amid rumours suggesting the player is set for a move to the Premier League, according to Sky Sports News.

The report claims that European champions Chelsea are leading Tottenham in the race to sign the Brazilian international, with the players agent claiming last week that the Blues had submitted a €25million (£19.8m) offer for the playmaker.

Internacional president, Giovanni Luigi, has now confirmed the club have received an email enquiry for Oscar, with the unnamed club asking about his availability for around €20million (£15.7m), but a deal is a long way from being concluded.

Luigi has been left unimpressed with the proposal, claiming it will take more than €20million to sign the starlet. Luigi is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News:

“We received an email today, but it’s a long way off being done.

“The proposal wasn’t as good as expected. We think Oscar is worth more than €20million.

“It wasn’t an offer; it was more like an enquiry. We are only saying that the numbers have to change.”

Oscar joined Internacional from Sao Paulo two years ago and has become one of the most highly-rated youngsters in South America after a string of impressive performances. His form has earned him 6 international caps and he will showcase his talents at this summers London Olympics, but will he be plying his trade in the Premier League next season?

Now i dont know how, but spurs are spending big, and the wage restraint has been lifted, so all the other top teams had better watch out, because we were doing well on a budget, but with money behind us, we are a real force to be reckoned with, our young eager to learn players, will learn and absorb what needs to be learnt, to play the avb style of football, and progress technically, and mentally, on the pitch, chelsea would not listen to his ideas, they were too set in their ways, and would not change, spurs on the other hand, will listen , and respect their manager, appointed by the club they work for, and will prosper from it, and as for oscar, we have a close affiliation with his club internacional, and we will sign him if we want him, and we will pay top price, because we have the money.
We are a club on the up, new money, high wages, new state of the art training complex, and a fantastic revolutionary stadium, which starts contruction this month, and will be the envy of all premier league teams, you can check it out on the web, its fantastic, as you will all agree, the sleeping giant, has finally awoken.

Chelsea fan here and I agree a bit on this (wow a miracle i know). I was dissapointed not to see spurs finish above arsenal..

As long as spurs give AVB the time he needs I think there will be a great shift of powers in PL, with top four being Chelsea, Spurs Man city and ???? I say ???? because i think man utd are a bit skint tbh.

NEVER will I find myself envious of spurs and you are welcome to AVB. Great coach in the making but needs to lose the arrogance and accept and own up to mistakes made. Chelsea got rid and look what happened. Our training facilities are 2nd to NONE

Love some of the Chelsea fans command of the English language. Reading some of them posts was like deciphering what my 8 month old twins are saying to each other?.. Which incidentally, is mostly nonsense!..

If he knows what’s good for him he’ll come to Spurs! Unless he likes sitting on his arse?
