[Video Highlights] Aberdeen 2-1 Man Utd: Fletcher Returns As United Lose Benefit Match

The return to action of Darren Fletcher was the highlight as a United XI went down 2-1 to Aberdeen in a benefit match for Neil Simpson.

Aberdeen went ahead when when Paul Scholes was uncharacteristically caught out at the back, Jonny Hayes taking advantage to make it 1-0 just before half time. Joe Shaughnessy made it 2-0 before Fletcher came on midway through the second half to a rousing reception from the United faithful bringing to an end a 9-month absence due to a bowel condition.

Anderson pulled one back with a fine effort but United couldn’t get the equaliser and the Premier League giants went down 2-1. Here’s the United team and video highlights.
