Jack Wilshere Injury Update…

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claims midfielder Jack Wilshere is looking ‘very good’ in training and should return to action in a month.

The 20-year-old missed the whole of last season with an ankle injury and underwent surgery on a long-standing knee issue in the summer.

Understandably, the Arsenal staff have been cautious not to rush the youngster back this time after he suffered a set-back when close to a first team return back in February.

Wilshere has been training hard in the gym all summer to keep his fitness up and recently returned to train with the rest of the squad as he stepped up his rehabilitation.

It now seems he’s not too far away from making his return to the pitch, with Wenger claiming he’s looking very good in training and he should be ready to start playing again in around a month.

Arsene told Arsenal.com:

He is looking very good in training. Close? It depends what you call close. I would still give him a month. But it looks very good. In a month he should be starting to play again.

This is encouraging news and just like Abou Diaby, Wilshere really will be like a ‘new signing’. It’s going to be interesting to see what our starting midfield trio will be in the middle of the park once Wilshere is back.

Diaby and Arteta have been superb so far this season and there is no way Cazorla is being dropped! Perhaps Santi could move out to one of the wide positions but that may stifle his influence on the game.

Whatever side Arsene decides to put out, it’s just nice that we’ll have real competition for places in the squad. Maybe Wenger’s decision not to buy a defensive midfielder was the correct one?

Giroud will start scoring soon, give him a season before anyone starts getting on his back, that is only going to put more pressure on him.

He will be class, let him settle.

its a hard one, but if the midfield is still playing this well together then he cant really change it, and there’s no way santi is going out wide he needs to e central, cant wait till wilshire gets back its going to be a great selection headache for wenger to have!:)

Giroud has played a few games for us, we gave RVP 7 years!

Lets wait until the end of the season before we start making assumptions about our new signings yes?

With so many games, capital cup,FA,primiership, champions league, everybody wuld hav a fair share of game,I forsee a change in formation. 4-4-2 will be d options.the PROF is up to d task, dnt see dis as a problem.but Giroud need competition, maybe bring in a striker, then he wuld upt is game,he has not been taken is chances……I hop he won’t fizzle out like d morrocan.
