Manchester United welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime with the visitors looking to banish memories of last seasons hiding.

The Gunners were on the wrong end of an 8-2 thrashing last year but boss Arsene Wenger will be hoping for a better performance this time round.

Robin van Persie will hope for a positive reception from the away end as he prepares to face his former club for the first time since moving to United from north London in the summer. The Dutchman starts today with Wayne Rooney in support.

Olivier Giroud starts up front for Arsenal with Aaron Ramsey preferred to Tuesday’s hat trick hero Theo Walcott. Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:
