[Teams] Stoke vs Liverpool: Confirmed Line-ups

By on December 26, 2012

Liverpool take on Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium tonight looking to build upon their impressive 4-0 thrashing of Fulham at the weekend.

The Reds shook-off the disappointment of their 3-1 loss to Aston Villa last week by beating the Cottagers at Anfield but have a tough task repeating that win tonight as they take on the tightest defence in the league.

Brendan Rodgers names an unchanged line-up for the visit to Stoke with Raheem Sterling and Joe Allen continuing on the bench, meaning Stewart Downing retains his place after opening his Premier League account with a strike versus the Cottagers on Saturday. Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:

Stoke Team

Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross, Huth, Wilkinson; Kightly, Nzonzi, Whelan, Etherington; Walters, Jones

Subs: Sorensen, Upson, Palacios, Whitehead, Kightly, Jerome, Crouch

Liverpool Team

Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Lucas, Gerrard, Shelvey, Suso, Downing, Suarez.

Subs: Jones, Carragher, Coates, Henderson, Allen, Cole, Sterling.
