Corchia Wants Move To ‘Big Club’ As Arsenal & Tottenham Eye Defender

Sochaux defender Sebastien Corchia has admitted he would like to move to a ‘big club’ this summer with Arsenal and Tottenham among the clubs said to be interested

Despite the transfer window now being closed there will still be plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers, so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today,

Sochaux defender Sebastien Corchia has admitted he would like to move to a ‘big club’ this summer with Arsenal and Tottenham among the clubs understood to be interested, according to Sky Sports News.

Corchia came through France’s Clairefontaine youth academy before signing his first professional contract with Le Mans in 2009. Two years later he earned a move to Sochaux where he has quickly cemented his place in the first team, making over 50 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit so far.

His form has seem him represent France at every youth level and he has now made 26 appearances for the under-21 side, but is yet to earn his first senior cap for Les Bleus.

Sky Sports claim Arsenal and Tottenham have joined the likes of Bayern Munich, Juventus and Lyon in showing an interest in the 22-year-old right-back, and the player has now opened the door to a summer move to north London after admitting he’s aware of the interest being shown in him and he would love to join a ‘big club’ in England or Germany:

“I am happy when I am being mentioned with prestigious Clubs home and abroad,” he said.

“I am working hard to reach the top level and play in a bigger club than Sochaux, it is everyone’s ambition to move to a big club.

“I am a big fan of the two leagues England and Germany, they are the best two leagues at the moment.

“At the end of the season, I will sit down with the club and see the next step.” Corchia  is quoted as saying by Sky Sports

Arsenal could be on the look-out for cover at right-back with Bacary Sagna tipped to leave in the summer while Tottenham have been heavily reliant on Kyle Walker this season, so it’s conceivable that the London rivals could go head-to-head for Corchia in the summer.
