Liverpool & Man Utd Receive Boost In Pursuit Of Brazilian Defender

Liverpool and Man Utd have been boosted in their attempts to sign Brazilian defender Dede after Vasco manager Paulo Autuori confirmed he’ll leave this summer.

Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Liverpool and Man Utd are boosted in their pursuit of Dede.

Liverpool and Manchester United have been boosted in their attempts to sign Brazilian defender Dede after Vasco da Gama manager Paulo Autuori confirmed he’ll leave this summer, according to talkSPORT.

Dede has become one of the most highly-rated defenders in South America over the past 2 years after a string of impressive displays at the back for Vasco.

His form has not only seen him break into the Brazilian international team but it seems to have alerted the interest of two of Britain’s top clubs, with talkSPORT claiming Liverpool and Manchester United are both keen on luring him to the Premier League this summer.

The report suggests that the Brazilian outfit are planning to cash in on one of their prized assets at the end of the season and the English duo have now been boosted with Vasco boss Autuori confirming that Dede will be on the move this summer:

“I know Dede is leaving, we talked about this since when I was negotiating with the club, I won’t make up stories as that only complicates things,” Autuori is quoted as saying by talkSPORT

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is likely to be on the look-out for a replacement for the retiring Jamie Carragher this summer while United manager Sir Alex Ferguson may also be looking to sign a new central defender with the long-term futures of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic unclear, and Dede could be the man they turn to to fill the void.
