Cristiano Ronaldo & Jose Mourinho Heading To Chelsea This Summer?
Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Could Jose Morinho bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Chelsea this summer?
Jose Mourinho is set to return to Chelsea this season and wants to bring Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo with him to Stamford Bridge, according to the Express.
Interim boss Rafa Benitez has previously admitted he won’t be staying on beyond the end of the season and the Express claim the Spaniard has told friends that Mourinho is in advanced talks to seal a deal that will see him return to the Blues hot-seat six years after being sacked by owner Roman Abramovich.
The report claims Mourinho’s days are numbered at the Bernabeu and he certain to leave Spain at the end of the season with Abramovich set to welcome him back to the Bridge with the promise of an open cheque book.
While Mourinho’s return will no doubt excite Chelsea fans there could be more good news in the pipeline with the newspaper claiming that the Portuguese managers first job will be to try and bring Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo with him to west London.
Reports this season have suggested Ronaldo is unsettled in Spain and may look to return to the Premier League where he made his name during an six-year spell at Manchester United, and the Express claim Mourinho will do all he can to persuade the Portuguese attacker to follow him to Chelsea this summer and will test the water with a £60m bid.
