Liverpool’s quest for European qualification took a huge blow after being held to a 0-0 draw by bottom club Reading on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds went close to breaking the deadlock on several occasions but were frustrated by goalkeeping heroics or resolute defending. Suarez, Sturridge and Gerrard all went close at times while Coutinho had a goal correctly ruled out for offside in the second half.
