By on April 21, 2013

Luis Suarez scored an equaliser 6 minutes into injury time to salvage a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, but not before he was seen sinking his teeth into defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The Blues opened the scoring in the first half when Oscar headed home a Juan Mata corner in the 22nd minute but Liverpool levelled just after the break when Sturridge was on hand to finish off a superb Liverpool move for 1-1. Chelsea were given the chance to take the lead once again when Suarez  handled in the area – Eden Hazard stepped up to make it 2-1 from the spot.

Controversial Liverpool striker Luis Suarez then tangled with Ivanovic off the ball with replay’s showing the Uruguayan international bite the defender on the arm. However, none of the officials saw the incident and he stayed on the field. You just knew Suarez would have the final say and sure enough he was on hand to head home Sturridge’s cross in the 96th minute to claim a point for the Reds. Watch the highlights here:
