[Tweets & Photos] Gerrard, Sterling, Sturridge: Players Celebrate Reds Win Online

Liverpool gave their top four hopes a major boost with a 2-0 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring with a stunning strike in the third minute before Raheem Sterling wrapped up the three points with another goal midway through the second half.

The victory sees Liverpool move up to sixth place in the Premier League table and just two points off fourth place, so understandably the players were in a mood to celebrate after the game.

Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge and Simon Mignolet all took to their Twitter accounts to hail Liverpool’s performance as they claimed a huge three points.

Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling uploaded photos and messages to their Instagram accounts to express their delight at the victory while Henderson also posted a message on Instagram to praise some of his team mates after a ‘brilliant’ win.
