Tottenham vs Hull City Preview, Team News, Likely Line-Ups & Predicted Score
Tottenham take on Hull City at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups and predicted score for the game.
Tottenham will look to secure European qualification when they take on Hull City at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
The North Londoners have hit a sticky patch at just the wrong time and a run of just one win in their last six matches has ended any hopes of qualifying for the Champions League this season.
However, Spurs still sit sixth in the Premier League table so can go a long way to ensuring they’ll be playing in the Europa League next year if they can pick up three points tomorrow.
Hull arrive in the capital desperate for a positive result as they look to try and avoid being relegated to the Championship.
Steve Bruce’s men sit 18th in the table and two points from safety following last weeks disappointing loss to Burnley so they could find themselves heading out of the top flight if they fail to win at the Lane on Saturday.
Team news
Tottenham will be without Vlad Chiriches after his sending off against Stoke last week so Jan Vertonghen should move back into the middle of defence with the fit-again Danny Rose coming in at left-back.
Emmanuel Adebayor is out through illness so joins Kyle Walker and Ben Davies on the sidelines with the full-backs out for the rest of the season with foot and shoulder injuries respectively.
Hull have a relatively healthy squad to choose from with just Mohamed Diame and Gaston Ramirez on the sidelines.
David Meyler could be recalled in midfield while Nikica Jelavic could start up front.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Tottenham 1-0 Hull City: Spurs have been in inconsistent form of late and looked dreadful against Stoke last week, but Hull have struggled for goals all season long and I think the hosts might just edge this one tomorrow.
