Crystal Palace vs Arsenal Preview, Team News, Likely Line-Ups, Betting & Prediction
Arsenal take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups, predicted score for the game.
Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from last weeks loss at home to West Ham with they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.
We came into this season full of hope and expectation but sadly we were brought back down to earth with a bang following last Sunday’s disappointing 2-0 loss to the Hammers.
The defeat has put huge pressure on Arsene Wenger and his players to get a positive result tomorrow as we haven’t started a season with consecutive defeats for over 20 years.
The good news is we have a decent recent record against Palace having won all four meetings since they returned to the Premier League two years ago, and more impressively we haven’t lost a competitive game to the Eagles in 21 years.
However, Alan Pardew is building a solid side down at Selhurst Park and they picked up three points at Norwich on the opening day of the season so I’m sure they’ll be hopeful of inflicting more misery on us this weekend.
Team news
Hector Bellerin is back in contention after recovering from a minor knock and he could come straight back in to start at right-back ahead of Mathieu Debuchy.
Alexis Sanchez is also pushing for a start after getting another full weeks training under his belt having made a 20 minute cameo against West Ham last week.
Jack Wilshere is back in training following an ankle injury but this game will come too soon, so he joins Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky on the sidelines.
As for Palace, Alex McCarthy is set to continue in goal with Julian Speroni out with a finger injury while former Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh is set to miss out with a hamstring problem.

Predicted Score
Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal: We have to get a result tomorrow and I think we’ll see a response from the players. The defeat to West Ham will have hurt but we’ve always shown we’re capable of bouncing back from disappointment and I think we’ll edge this one tomorrow.
Betting Tips
Arsenal are the 3/4 favourites to win the game but Football-Talk can get new customers enhanced odds of 7/1 on Arsenal taking home the three points. My prediction of 2-1 win is available at odds of 15/2, and I also like the look of Theo Walcott to open the scoring at odds of 9/2. If we combine that with a 2-1 win in a score-cast, then we get very tempting odds of 22/1.
