Arsenal will be looking to break in to the top four when they take on Stoke City at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

We’ve made an inconsistent start to the new Premier League season with impressive away wins at Crystal Palace and Newcastle overshadowed by disappointing results at home to West Ham and Liverpool.

Seven points from four games is a solid return but Arsene Wenger will be hoping for more if the Gunners are to be genuine title challengers this season, and we need to make that statement with a home win tomorrow.

Stoke have endured a difficult start themselves and sit in the bottom three on just two points, so no doubt Mark Hughes will have his players pumped up to pull off another shock at the Emirates.

Team News

Laurent Koscielny is available despite missing France’s win over Serbia on Monday with a minor back complaint.

Per Mertesacker is also in contention after recovering from a virus that saw him miss our last two matches, although Gabriel may have done enough to keep his place in the starting eleven.

Jack Wilshere has suffered a minor setback in his recovery from an ankle injury so he joins Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky on the sidelines, with the duo ruled out until around Christmas time.

As for Stoke, they arrive in North London with problems of their own as Glen Johnson, Marko Arnoutovic and Mame Biram Diouf are all injury doubts.

Ibrahim Afellay and Charlie Adam are both suspended following their dismissals against West Brom last time out but Jonathan Walters should play some part in the game despite almost leaving the club on deadline day.

Arsenal 2-0 Stoke: We may be struggling a little in front of goal this season but we should be able to create plenty of chances at home against a weakened Stoke side, so I’m going for a 2-0 win.

Arsenal are the 3/10 favourites to win the game and my prediction of a 2-0 home victory is on offer at 5-1.
