[Tweets] Ozil, Ramsey, Cech & More: Arsenal Players Celebrate Spurs Win On Twitter
Several Arsenal players have taken to Twitter to react to their 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night. See what they said.
Arsenal booked their place in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup with a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.
The Gunners opened the scoring in the first half through Mathieu Flamini before Calum Chambers put through his own net to level things up shortly after half-time.
However, Flamini became the unlikeliest of hero’s after scoring a stunning volley to secure a 2-1 win for Arsenal and book a trip to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday in the next round.
After the game, several players have taken to Twitter to react to the win with Aaron Ramsey, Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil all congratulating team-mate Flamini on his brace of goals.
Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal – who were unused substitutes at the Lane – also posed for a photo on the team bus as the squad made the short trip back to the Emirates and poked fun at Spurs with a ‘#NorthLondonIsRed’ hashtag.
Summer signing Petr Cech was left out of the squad for last night’s game as David Ospina started between the sticks but the Czech international was quick to congratulate his team mates on a ‘great win’ after the game.
Check out what the Arsenal players have been saying on Twitter:
