Liverpool will continue their Europa League adventure when they take on FC Sion at Anfield on Thursday night. Here is the side I think Brendan Rodgers will pick:
Goalkeeper: Adam Bodgan put in a fine display during Liverpool’s League Cup clash with Carlisle last week and he could be given another chance to impress tonight with Simon Mignolet given a breather.
Defence: Rodgers has confirmed he’ll make several changes to his side ahead of Sunday’s Merseyside derby at Everton. Martin Skrtel and Emre Can are set to be rested with Joe Gomez and Kolo Toure joining Mamadou Sakho in the back three. Dejan Lovren continues to miss out through injury.
Midfield: Alberto Moreno could keep his place on the left wing but Joron Ibe is expected to replace Nathaniel Clyne on the right. James Milner and Lucas Leiva are set to be rested with Joe Allen returning to midfield alongside youngster Jordan Rossiter – who’s a confirmed starter for the game.
Attack: Rodgers has also revealed that Daniel Sturridge will play no part in the game tomorrow night and with Christian Benteke also missing through injury, Divock Origi is expected to be given a chance to impress up front.
Danny Ings could play alongside the Belgian youngster with Adam Lallana set to play in the No.10 role in place of the rested Philippe Coutinho.
Here is how I think we’ll see Liverpool line-up:
What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
