Qarabag vs Tottenham Preview, Team News, Line-Up, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Tottenham take on Qarabag in the Europa League this evening. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-up, betting tips and predicted score.
Tottenham Hotspur will look to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League when they take on Qarabag in Azerbaijan tonight.
Spurs head into the game sitting top of Group J after beating Anderlecht at White Hart Lane three weeks ago and can seal qualification to the next phase if they can come home with all three points this evening.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men are in fine form and extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 12 games with a 4-1 victory over West Ham on Sunday so they should be full of confidence.
However, the Spurs boss has decided to leave some of his first team regulars at home to rest ahead of Sunday’s crucial clash with London rivals Chelsea.
Team news
Mousa Dembele, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker have all been left back in North London so the likes of Kieran Tripper, Kevin Wimmer, Ben Davies and Ryan Mason are expected to start tonight.
Nabil Bentaleb has been ruled out with an ankle injury while Erik Lamela has also not travelled to Azerbaijan due to a minor knock.
The duo therefore join Nacer Chadli and Alex Prtichard on the sidelines as they continue to recover from long-term injuries.
Youngsters Cameron Carter-Vickers, Shayon Harrison, Luke McGee, Josh Onomah and Harry Winks have all been included in the squad.
Likely Line-Up
Predicted Score
Qarabag 0-2 Tottenham: Spurs been in excellent form of late and despite missing a number of first team regulars, I think we’ll see them pick up the three points to seal qualification to the next phase.
Betting Tips
Tottenham are the 11/10 favourites to win with the bookmakers and my prediction of 2-0 is on offer at 8/1. If you want a bit more value we can add Hueng-min Son as the first goal-scorer in a score-cast which gives us very tempting odds of 25/1.
Back Tottenham to win 2-0 with Son first scorer at 25/1
