Spurs topping the group is making me sick

defoe vs twente

Seeing Spurs top their Champions League Group is making me extremely nauseus. The fact that they did in a group which is much tougher as compared to Arsenal’s makes me even more sick. Further to that, we have probably a very very slim chance of finishing top of our group. That’s a triple whammy for me today.

Yes we will probably go out there tonight and hammer the daylights out of Partizan but we still cannot change the fact that if Shakhtar avoids defeat to Braga, they will be top of the group. This is an important development because with the other three English teams taking top spot in their groups, it leaves us with only 4 other teams that we can possibly meet in the second stage. Therefore it leaves us with the possibility of meeting anyone of the following: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Shalke.

I don’t know about you guys but looking at the list makes me tremble at our champions league progress this season. Not that I am looking down on our players but it’s doesn’t look good from where I sit and watch.

Tottenham will get further in the champions league, I think semi-finals at least!

Not bad for our first try.

Love the intimidating name “fuckoffugoonerwhorecunt” hahaha…you guys crack me up.

I believe Arsenal will get past whoever it is they are drawn against because to be the best you must face and defeat the best sooner or later. So the timing of facing any big gun does not phase me at all.

We simply must do what has to be done….whether it be pretty or ugly!

TO ‘#3 STFU’ ..”Horribly lucky against twente in both games” you deluded little gooner fool! At twente they got a pen which was extremely harsh and a freekick that wasn’t a freekick for there goal. They may have scored an own goal but its not our fault if there keeper can’t clear a ball and as for the home leg we ran rings round them! We got at inter at home and caused them problems, they were not out of form and if anything we had more of our big players out injured than they did! Away to inter everything that could go wrong did in the first half, yet even thou we were still missing many key players we managed to pull it back to a very respectable 4-3. We had probably the hardest all round group which we won, arsenal on the other hand had prob the easiest group and failed to top it! Now jog on and get your facts right before you spout biased, un-informed s*it again you silly little boy!! The only reason arsenal are where they are in the league is because chelsea and man utd have got worse, arsenal haven’t got any better either, they have stayed the same yet, spurs and city have got better, have got stronger and are catching you up! Keep looking over your shoulder with a nervous glance won’t you!

Arsenal floundered again today, ran out 3-1 winners in a game against a hapless team that bored us all to sleep. I really thought the gooners were going to do better this season but watching Wenger on the brink of a nervous breakdown every game tells me he knows there are problems he can’t fix.

Despite all the Gooners trying so hard to laugh
at us, that means its all laughter outside thus
pissing their pants inside. Having humped them
3-2 at the Kebab Stadium, the Gooners still have
the guts to poo on our so-called Spud ‘s door.
Like both the name of club & manager, they’re
all just Arse-s. Spurs will always tailgate and will
continue to annoy on the Gooners… soon to be
    Goners.

I fancy us (spurs) to do very well. Arsenal will also get to the latter stages but wont win it. I know im going to sound to you guys like another deluded spud but I honestly fancy our chances to go all the way (if we meet Barca though its game over). Were a cup team and its Harry’s destiny, then he sods off and wins us the World Cup in Brazil. Get a tenner on it lol

I don’t know why ‘lokoing at the list’ makes you ‘tremble. No one expects Arsenal to do any different than before, do they ?
Anyway I hope the nausea continues.

Lord!! you kiddies spit like cats but fight with handbags like fairies.

THFC have done extremely well and above and beyond expectations. If that makes you sick then you are just another pathetic gooner. Arsenal on the other hand, have not. But they still managed to climb in and they were impressive at home although the opposition was not that fierce.
Whether this will continue into the knockouts remains to be seen but we are enjoying the fun and especially since we are playing the way that we used to and which those gooners with short memories or who are “johnny come latelys” claim to be their own”way”(GG must feel sick when you say that).

So, we get in finally, after 30+ years(61 to 93) of often coming in the top four before the PL was created and the prostituted CL revised, and we play our usual way, and it makes some of you “sick”.

That is the most pathetic comment i have ever read from a gooner. When you played football “our way” with success we all admired it. We didn’t have to like it but it was beautiful to watch as THAT is how we always tried to play in the 65 years I have watched Tottenham.

So, that is the sort of comment that makes us cheer when someone beats you which is a pity as your club is still UK owned and well run, as is ours, unlike those billionaire toy clubs(CH & MC) or those “superclubs”(sic) running on incredible debts (ACM RM Barca MU LPool etc.).

So we have much more in common than you think and probably would have been great friends if you had only stayed in Woolwich and had possessed an honest board who were above cheating from 1919 to 1938.

Will we do better than you next year? Who knows? So long as we continue to play our way I don’t care as that IS the difference between us.

    The Arsenal Process:

“You Spuds will never make the CL”

We beat you rentboys, the Chavs and City all in a row to get there.

“You didn’t really make the CL, you just made the qualifier”

Hmm, I don’t recall your group of hair stylists claiming they didn’t really make the CL when they finished 4th the season before. Moving the goalposts, Goons? But fine, we’ll have to qualify.

“You Spuds will lose the qualifier and crash out of Europe.”

We did wobble for about 30 minutes at 1st, but rallied strong against the Swiss, and destroyed them in the return leg.

“You Spuds were lucky against a shit Swiss team. Now you’ll see what the real CL is like against top opposition. Inter, Werder, Twente. Spuds won’t get a point.”

No, we got 11 points to top the group. ANd destroyed the holders in the process.

“Inter, Werder, Twente. All shit teams. And Spuds were lucky.”

Keep moving the target Arse-boys. Keep crying your tiny tears. Enjoy your match with Barca. Best of luck in the Milk Cup.

Brilliantly written with factual information AntiOnan. What do the younger spoilt Arsenal fans no about history. Spurs are back with a strong balance sheet and I hope we go from strngth to strength.

I think all fans herein with the exception of ssg and AntiOnan could do with some spelling lessons. As far as the football goes, the fact that we scored 3 goals against the Woolich Wanderers in the second half after being 2 goals down away from home (as well doing the same thing at the San Siro after being 4-0 down with 10 men) shows that this Spurs squad are a different proposition to previous years. All of this doesn’t mean though, that we are now a better team than Arsenal. Let’s not forget they are top of the league and still very good when they have the ball. Very average without it but that’s their problem. The two teams are very closely matched although thanks to Wenger’s predilection for youngsters over adults, Tottenham have a more useful squad. The real difference is the direction in which the two teams are heading. Arsenal have peaked. They haven’t won anything for years and although the Milk Cup looks likely this year, I think most fans will have the same feeling towards that cup as they did when Spurs won it recently. So what?
Tottenham are a team on the up, a team that’s going places. In terms of players, ours are better. Fibreglass and possibly Nasty Nasri are at the same level as Modric, Bale and Van der Vaart but that’s it. Huddlestone will become the lynchpin of the post Capello England team, you heard it here first folks. Although it must also be said that Wilshere will also become an integral part of that new generation. The types of player we have to offer are more varied as well. But it is direction and capacity for improvement that counts. Other than the first day of the season in the most one-sided 0-0 draw ever witnessed against Citeh (another team that will power past the Arse in coming seasons) Tottenham have failed to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League this season. The goal scoring has been great (highest scoring team in the CL group stage including claiming a CL goalscoring record for being the only team EVER to score at least 2 goals in all group matches, all at the first crack of the whip too) and the defensive frailties will be solved very soon as Ledley King, Michael Dawson and Jonathan Woodgate are all coming back in Jan giving Spurs a huge defensive boost with Gallas, Bassong, Kaboul and Khumalo all already fit. When Spurs get these players back in combination with the recent return of Defoe and the new £30mil Jan striker, we will slowly but steadily overtake an Arsenal team that is past it’s peak and has blatant imbalances. In short Tottenham and City will improve and the trajectory of Woolwich Wanderers is (as it should be) heading south.

It might not be scientific, but judging by the comments on this Arsenal blog, I’d say Spurs have a lot more supporters than Arsenal. Or at least, lost more that can read and write

Ha, it’s not an “arsenal” blog. It was a post about arsenal. Have a look round the site mate, if you can read as well as you write then you should figure things out quick enough. Muppet.

Tottenham have a better chance of winning the Champions League then Arsenal – they had a way harder group and have been playing so well this season in the Premier League beating Arsenal and Liverpool and other teams so well. They beat teams with convincing wins and shook the hell out of the European Champions – when have Arsenal played this well? they had some wins over lower teams in the Premier League once they play us (Man Utd) and others they will crumble.

Arsenal aint the same from 2001 and i think Spurs are on the up again after being sleeping so long. This could be a year for Spurs if they dont draw us in the Champions League or Barcelona they could do it.

Arsenal, the lame ducks of the champions league. Just waiting for the Spanish to come along and rape their sorry arses. Ha ha, how times change. Move along there, nothing to see.
