42-Goal World Class Hitman Keen On Joining Liverpool
Robert Lewandowski is unsettled at Bayern Munich and would be keen on linking up with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool once they return to the Champions League
The opening of the summer transfer window is fast approaching so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Liverpool are linked with Robert Lewandowski….
Robert Lewandowski is growing increasingly unsettled at Bayern Munich and would be keen on linking up with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool once they return to the Champions League, according to the Daily Mail.
Lewandowski made his name at Borussia Dortmund before earning a move to Bayern Munich in 2014 where he’s undoubtedly developed in to one of the finest all-round strikers in world football.
The Polish international has just come off the back of the most prolific campaign of his career having scored 42 goals in his 51 appearances in all competitions to help Bayern land a league and cup double last season.
However, the Daily Mail claim the 27-year-old is growing increasingly unsettled at the Bundesliga giants as he feels he’s achieved all he can in Germany and is now looking for a new challenge in a different country.
The newspaper says that while Lewandowski is in talks over a new deal with Bayern, he’s told close friends that he’s willing to listen to other offers and would consider a move to the Premier League.
The Daily Mail suggest that Lewandowski’s dream move would be Real Madrid but he understands that’s going to be difficult due to the attacking options already available at the Bernabeu but he’s also understood to be interested in joining former boss Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Lewandowski played under Klopp at Dortmund and the striker – who’s a boyhood Liverpool fan – is believed to be keen to be reunited at Anfield BUT only if and when the club returns to the Champions League.
Obviously that means nothing is going to happen this summer so unless Madrid make a move for the striker, Lewandowski is likely to stay at Bayern for at least another season and perhaps reassess his future next summer.
Liverpool fans will be praying the club are back in the Champions League in 12 months time as that would allow them to launch a move for Lewandowski and is would be a sensational coup if they were able to pull it off.

A new striker isn’t an immediate priority for Klopp as he already has Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Danny Ings and Christian Benteke on the books so the German coach could use this season to build his own team before hopefully being able to target marquee names like Lewandowski next summer.
