Liverpool Hope To Trump Chelsea & Spurs As Klopp Holds Talks With £10m Midfielder

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has held talks with Chelsea and Tottenham target Ante Coric about a potential move to Anfield while Man City are also tracking the Croatian starlet, according to the Daily Mail.
Coric joined Dinamo Zagreb in 2013 and after a short stint in the youth team, he was promoted to the senior squad in 2014 where he’s developed in to one of the hottest propoerties in Croatian football.
The 19-year-old has already scored 11 goals and provided 15 assists in his 80 appearances for Zagreb so far and was named as the Croatian Football Hope of the Year in 2015 – which is the equivalent of the Young Player of the Year in England.
Coric’s potential has caught the attention of leading Premier League clubs with the Daily Mail claiming that Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City have all expressed their interest in luring the teenager to England.
The newspaper says that Chelsea’s scouts have recommended the club sign the midfielder while City are understood to be lining-up a £6m offer, however, it looks as though Liverpool could be in the driving seat.
That’s because the Daily Mail suggest that Jurgen Klopp has already held personal talks with Coric about a potential move to Anfield with the Reds understood to be willing to meet Zagreb’s £10m plus add ons asking price.
Coric is a skillful central midfielder who can play in an attacking or box-to-box role while he’s also known for his good ball control and pace, so Klopp would certainly have plenty to work with if Liverpool end up winning the race for his signature.

The youngster represented Croatia at every youth level from U-15 to U-21 before breaking in to the senior squad earlier this year and he’s currently over in France taking part in Euro 2016, where Croatia have impressed en route to the last 16.
Obviously there is still time for the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham to step-up their interest in Coric but it appears Liverpool are in pole position as Klopp looks to bring in his fourth major signing of the summer.
