Liverpool vs West Ham, Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Liverpool take on West Ham at Anfield on Sunday afternoon. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Liverpool will be looking to get back on track and keep pace at the top of the Premier League table when they take on West Ham at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds saw their excellent run of form come to an abrupt end after throwing away a two-goal lead on two occasions to lose 4-3 to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last weekend.
Liverpool currently sit third in the table and four points adrift of leaders Arsenal but they can move to within a point with a win tomorrow so Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to pick up all three points on home soil.
West Ham arrive on Merseyside off the back of a humiliating 5-1 defeat by Arsenal at the London Stadium last weekend which extended their winless streak to five league games.
The Hammers dropped in to the bottom three after Swansea beat Sunderland this afternoon so no doubt Slaven Bilic will be demanding a response from his players tomorrow.
Team news
Liverpool have been boosted by the return to fitness of Joel Matip with the defender returning to the squad after recovering from the ankle injury that kept him out of the Bournemouth game.
Adam Lallana is also pushing to return to the starting eleven after making a successful comeback from a groin injury with a substitute appearance last weekend.
However, Daniel Sturridge remains on the sidelines with a calf problem while Philippe Coutinho continues to nurse an ankle ligament injury that’s expected to keep him out until the New Year.
West Ham welcome Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio back in to the squad after they sat out the defeat to Arsenal through injury but Cheikhou Kouyate is still nursing a groin injury.
Andy Carroll is pushing for a start after scoring from the bench last weekend but James Collins, Reece Oxford and Diafra Sakho are all still injured.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Liverpool 3-0 West Ham: The Reds sorely missed Matip last weekend and I think they’d have seen that game out had the Cameroonian defender been playing. Jurgen Klopp’s side have been excellent for most of the season and I don’t see them slipping up against a hapless Hammers side at Anfield.
