Arsenal
Screw Chelsea, its Wigan we have to beat!!!
If it’s the title, it has to be today. Yeah, you got it. There is no use in hammering Chelsea, which we did well enough, when you lose the next match against Wigan. Its simple logic, well at least mathematically…3 points for a win, and we beat Chelsea. By beating them we don’t get 4 points, and neither do we get 2 points. If we don’t win today against Wigan its straight back to square 1. Consistency is the main key, and we have to pick up 3 points today.
United drew with Birmingham yesterday, which makes today’s match even more special. If Arsenal are real title contenders, they have to show it today. It has to be a win at the JJB, and nothing less. Too many damn chances have been thrown away this season, too many…We drew at Sunderland [ that too in the last-minute], we lost to teams which we should have beaten at home. No more of this crap, we just have to beat Wigan today.
It’s the same situation like the Clasico played this season. Barcelona won it 5 nil, but they got 3 points. The next match against Osasuna they also won 3 nil, and they got 3 points. You don’t get more points if you score more. If they had lost the second match, there would have been no use, well at least mathematically. And to be honest, it’s the math which counts.
If we win today, we will be tied with United at the top on 38 points. Although they do have a game-in-hand thanks to Jack Frost, but the mental boost we are going to get shall be huge. Then comes New Year, and its at this point that the real race begins…
One of the main factors deciding the title for us is the next month. In January we start of our campaign at hells-gate, St Andrews…the place where we always lose points. Then we have City at home. I bet they don’t plan to go 1 man down this time, so lets face it, it going to be tough. That team is doing well, and you don’t want to underestimate them. Plus, I hear that they are bidding about 35 ml for Dzeko, and he may make his début against us, you never do know, do you?
This is a mid-week fixture, and it falls on a Wednesday. The following saturday, the FA Cup begins as we clash against Leeds at the Emirates. 4 days later its Ipswich (away) in the Carling Cup, and 3 days after that its West Ham at Upton Park. Oh wait, did I forget to mention that 3 days after our trip to east London we face Ipswich at home, for the return leg, and the fact that if we beat Leeds, our next opponent shall be? on the 29th of January, which is to be precise 4 days after the second leg against Ipswich.
So you can see how congested the fixtures are. And it is at this phase of the season that we have to pick up maximum points. Chamakh has to start firing, and being more influential in the game. Go smash in a header will you mate, that should boost your confidence! The guy is like Nasri in his début season, to damn shy to do anything. He is massive for us, and its time for him to really step-up.
Its crunch time for Arsenal in the Premier league and it starts of with a trip to the JJB today.
Best O’ Luck fellas, show us that you have the material for Champions..
Cheer-i-o,
