World Class Star Could Yet Join Man Utd, Mourinho Makes Him A Key Target
Toni Kroos will consider joining Manchester United this summer if Real Madrid end the season without winning a trophy, according to a report reports
The January transfer window is now closed but we can still look at deals that failed to get across the line and those being lined-up for the summer. Today, more on the future of Toni Kroos….
Toni Kroos will consider joining Manchester United this summer if Real Madrid end the season without winning a trophy, according to a report in the Daily Star.
Kroos has established himself as one of the best central midfielders in world football over the past five years and he’s been a huge success since joining Madrid from Bayern Munich in 2014.
The 27-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford when he left the Allianz Arena three years ago with former Untied boss David Moyes previously suggesting a deal was wrapped-up before he eventually headed to Spain.
It looks like the United hierarchy have maintained their interest in the German international as the Independent reported last month that Jose Mourinho has identified Kroos as a key transfer target this summer.
It was assumed that the midfielder would be difficult to lure away from the Bernabeu, however, the Daily Star are citing a report from Diario Gol that suggests Kroos could yet join United this summer.
The Spanish outlet claims that while the midfield schemer is content at Madrid for now he would consider moving to Old Trafford if Madrid end the season empty handed.
The Spanish giants are already out of the Copa Del Rey and have slipped behind Barcelona in the La Liga table so United fans will be praying Zinedine Zidane’s side don’t go on to retain the Champions League this season.
Kroos would be a huge coup if United could somehow pull it off and with Michael Carrick coming towards the end of his illustrious career, the German ace would be the ideal replacement.

A midfield of Kroos and Ander Herrera with Paul Pogba sitting just in front would be a match for any in the world but it will be interesting to see if they are able to prise him away from Spain this summer.
