The Blues boss was pleased to confirm that Gary Cahill could return to the fold after missing Saturday night’s win over Tottenham in the semi-finals of the FA Cup through illness.
Cahill was hospitalised last week with due to severe sickness and was forced to sit out the showpiece at Wembley over the weekend where the Blues booked their place in the FA Cup final next month.
However, the defender returned to training on Sunday and has trained again today but Conte will speak to Cahill on Tuesday before deciding whether he’s ready to be involved against Southampton.
The Chelsea boss also revealed the Londoners didn’t suffer any fresh injury concerns following the dramatic cup victory over Tottenham so he has virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from.

We’ll have to wait and see whether Cahill is passed fit to return to the squad but Nathan Ake deputised superbly in the back three at the weekend so Conte may even decide to stick with the youngster tomorrow night.
