Chelsea vs Middlesbrough: Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Chelsea take on Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge this evening. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score
Chelsea will be looking to put one hand on the Premier League trophy when they take on Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge tonight.
The Blues know they need just six more points to guarantee the title after second-placed Tottenham lost 1-0 to West Ham at the London Stadium on Friday night.
A win this evening would see Antonio Conte’s men move seven points clear at the top and another victory at West Brom on Friday night would seal the Premier League trophy.
However, ‘Boro have there own desperate need for a win tonight as a Chelsea victory would see the Teesside club relegated back to the Championship following Swansea’s win over Everton at the weekend.
Betting Tips
Chelsea are the 2/13 favourites with the bookies but check out the promotions and offers at http://www.freebets.co.uk/bet365/ as you may be able to get more value for your money. I also like the look of Chelsea to win at two goals to nil which is available at odds of 5/1 while if we throw in Eden Hazard as first goalscorer we can get very tempting odds of 11/1.
Team News
Chelsea will hand a late fitness test to David Luiz after he limped off with a groin problem during the win over Everton but the Brazilian international is expected to be passed fit.
N’Golo Kante is also a major doubt for the game after picking up a thigh injury so Cesc Fabregas is on stand-by to deputise in midfield.
Gaston Ramirez is set to miss out after suffering a pelvic problem but Grant Leadbitter is back in training after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Adlene Guedioura could also return to the squad but Victor Valdes and Daniel Ayala are both out.
Likely Line-ups
Predicted Score
Chelsea 2-0 Middlesbrough: The Blues didn’t show any signs of nerves against Everton last time out and I don’t think we’ll see any tonight. They have far more quality than Middlesbrough and I’m expecting Conte’s men to put one hand on the title with a relatively comfortable win at the Bridge.
