Chelsea are ready to seal a £95m triple swoop for Alex Sandro, Tiemoué Bakayoko and Willy Cabellaro as Antonio Conte kick-starts his summer transfer plans
Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Chelsea are ready to kick-start their summer transfers….
Chelsea are ready to seal a £95m triple swoop for Alex Sandro, Tiemoué Bakayoko and Willy Cabellaro as Antonio Conte kick-starts his summer transfer plans, according to the Guardian.
Conte secured the Premier League title in his first season here in England but is expected to further strengthen his squad ahead of their return to the Champions League next season.
The Italian was hoping to make some early moves in the market but has reportedly become frustrated at the lack of progress so far leading to question markets over his future at Stamford Bridge.
However, the Guardian claim that Chelsea chiefs are ready to try and appease their manager by stepping-up their attempts to bring in three new faces over the coming week.
A new central midfielder to play alongside N’Golo Kante is thought to be a priority for Conte and Bakayoko has emerged as a prime target after playing a key role in helping Monaco win the Ligue 1 title last season.
The Express reported late last week that Chelsea remain in talks to sign the 22-year-old after seeing an initial £26m bid rejected and the Guardian claim a deal worth around £40m is expected to be agreed.
Bakayoko’s arrival could cast further doubt over the future of Nemanja Matic with the Serbian international being linked with a move away from West London as he’s set to fall down the pecking order.
Conte is also looking to strengthen his options in the left wing-back position and the Guardian claim that Chelsea are ready to table an improved £55m bid for Sandro after seeing their opening offer rejected by Juventus.
The newspaper suggests that the improved bid should be enough to persuade Juve to strike a deal for the Brazilian international so Sandro is likely to head to Stamford Bridge as competition for Macros Alonso.
The 26-year-old has been a key player for the Serie A champions since joining the club from Porto two years ago so he should prove to be a superb signing if Chelsea can get a deal agreed.
The third player on Conte’s hit-list is Willy Caballero with the goalkeeper due to arrive on a free transfer from Manchester City at the end of the month.
Caballero only made 47 appearances at City since joining the club from Malaga in 2014 but he’s set to replace Asmir Begovic as Thibaut Courtois understudy at Chelsea next season.

It looks like it’s going to be a busy few weeks at Cobham as Conte kick-starts his summer plans and while I’m not a huge fan of Caballero, I do think Sandro and Bakayoko would be superb signings for the West Londoners.
