Serie A Giants Ready To Sell £44m Star To Man Utd Or Chelsea
AS Roma are ready to cash-in on Radja Nainggolan with Manchester United and Chelsea keen on signing the midfielder this summer.
Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Roma are ready to cash-in on Radja Nainggolan….
AS Roma are ready to cash-in on Radja Nainggolan in order to meet Financial Fair Play guidelines with Manchester United and Chelsea keen on signing the midfielder, according to a report in the Mirror.
The Italian giants need to raise around £26m by the end of the month in order to comply with UEFA’s FFP rules and avoid any possible sanctions so they need to sell-off key players to raise the required funds.
It looks as though Nainggolan is one of those on the market as the Mirror is citing a report from calciomercato that claims Roma are ready to sell the Belgian international this summer.
The Italian outlet says Chelsea and Manchester United are among the clubs showing a keen interest in signing the 29-year-old having been linked several times in past transfer windows.
The report indicates that Roma value Nainggolan at around £44m but may be willing to accept a lower fee if they are desperate to raise the money during the closing days of the month.
Nainggolan joined Roma from Cagliari in 2014 and has developed in to one of the best midfielders in Serie A over the past three years while he’s also got 28 caps for the Belgian national team to his name.
Jose Mourinho is in the market for a long-term replacement for Michael Carrick – who turns 36 next month – and Nainggolan is seemingly on the United bosses radar this summer as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for the title.
Antonio Conte is also expected to be active this summer as he looks to strengthen the Chelsea squad ahead of their return to the Champions League and Nainggolan would form a devastating partnership alongside N’Golo Kante if he were to move to Stamford Bridge.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming days but I think Nainggolan would be an excellent signing for United or Chelsea if either club were to get a deal agreed for his signature.
