French Star Cleared To Undergo Chelsea Medical Ahead Of £35m Move
Tiemoue Bakayoko has been cleared to finally undergo his medical with Chelsea ahead of his proposed £35m move from Monaco
Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Tiemoue Bakayoko is set to undergo his medical with Chelsea….
Tiemoue Bakayoko has been cleared to finally undergo his medical with Chelsea ahead of his proposed £35m move from Monaco, according to Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law.
Bakayoko has developed in to one of the best central midfielders in French football since joining Monaco from Rennes in 2014 and he played a starring role to help the club win the Ligue 1 title last season.
The 22-year-old’s sensational form attracted interest from a whole host of top clubs but Chelsea emerged as the front runners for his signature after Antonio Conte identified him as a prime target.
It looked like a deal was close as the Evening Standard reported late last month that Bakayoko was expected to fly in to the UK to finalise his move after Chelsea had agreed a £35m deal with Monaco.
There was no sign of the midfielder and things went a little quite in recent days, however, it looks like the proposed deal is now back on track as Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law has claimed that after a delay, Bakayoko is now scheduled to undergo his medical with Chelsea.
He tweeted:
I'm told there was a delay on Bakayoko's medical but that is now scheduled to go ahead and Chelsea will then announce signing #cfc https://t.co/szrPkDzrUH

Law was responding to an article citing a report from L’Equipe that claimed Bakayoko was set to complete his switch to Stamford Bridge over the coming days so it looks like Chelsea could finally get their man.
Once he seals his move, Bakayoko is expected to form an exciting partnership alongside compatriot N’Golo Kante next season and it will come as a big boost to Conte after he seemingly missed out on Romelu Lukaku to Man Utd.
The Blues boss is desperately trying to strengthen his squad ahead of Chelsea’s return to the Champions League next season and Bakayoko should prove to be an excellent addition.

However, the French international’s arrival will cast further doubt over the future of Nemanja Matic with the Serbian star heavily linked with a move to Man Utd this summer.
