Manchester United are targetting three more signings after handing boss Jose Mourinho at least another £100m to spend in the transfer window this summer, according to a report in The Sun.
Mourinho has already splashed out over £110m on centre-back Victor Lindelof and striker Romelu Lukaku but the United boss still wants further additions as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for top honours this coming season.
The Sun claim the ‘Special One’ is looking to bring in three more signings with an attacker, defensive midfielder and defender on the agenda and United chiefs have made at least another £100m available to secure his targets.
Ivan Perisic has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks and the newspaper says United remain hopeful of sealing a £35m deal to sign the Inter Milan star this summer.
The Croatian international is predominantly a left winger but he’s capable of playing anywhere across the attacking positions so he’d provide Mourinho with plenty of options in the final third.
Despite Lindelof’s arrival from Benfica, it seems United are still in the market for another defender as Chris Smalling is tipped to leave and a number of players have been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Mourinho is also looking to bring in a long-term replacement for new skipper Michael Carrick and The Sun claim Tottenham’s Eric Dier is still among United’s top targets.
Spurs insist they aren’t interested in selling the 23-year-old at any price but I have a feeling the north Londoners will be tempted to cash-in if United were willing to pay around £50m.

Dier has predominantly been played as a centre-back during his three-years at White Hart Lane but his preferred position is as a holding midfielder and it appears Mourinho is ready to offer him the chance to shine in his favoured role.
So it looks as though United are far from done in the market and we should expect plenty more business to be conducted in Manchester as Mourinho gears-up to spend another £100m on three new faces over the coming weeks.
