Euro Giants Ready To Sell £50m Attacker To Manchester United
Inter Milan have confirmed they are prepared to sell Ivan Perisic to Manchester United this summer as long as their £50m valuation is met
Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Inter Milan are ready to do business for Ivan Perisic…
Inter Milan have confirmed they are prepared to sell Ivan Perisic to Manchester United this summer as long as their reported £50m valuation is met, according to the Mirror.
Jose Mourinho is looking to further strengthen his squad after growing increasingly frustrated at only landing centre-back Victor Lindelof and striker Romelu Lukaku so far this summer.
A new attacker is on the agenda and Perisic has been widely reported to be Mourinho’s prime target in recent weeks with the Manchester Evening News reporting at the start of the month that the player was desperate to secure a move to Old Trafford.
However, United have struggled to agree a fee and the Croatian international reluctantly joined the rest of the Inter squad on their pre-season tour of China as the two clubs continued to haggle over a deal.
Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has now confirmed that while he would ideally like Perisic to stay at the San Siro, the club will sell to United as long as their asking price is met.
Spalletti is quoted by the Mirror as saying:
“He [Perisic] is a fantastic player and if his future was totally up to me, I would definitely keep him,”
“However, if an offer comes and the club are satisfied with the money, which will be used to invest in and strengthen the team, he could leave.”
The Inter boss doesn’t state what their valuation is but the Mirror claim the Serie A outfit are holding out for a fee in the region of £50m for the 28-year-old winger.
We’ll have to wait and see whether United will be prepared to match the figure but I think Perisic would be an excellent signing for the Red Devils if they do end up agreeing a deal for his signature.
He was one of the few positives during a difficult campaign for Inter last season after scoring 11 goals and setting up a further 12 for his team mates so Perisic would certainly add some much-needed creativity to the United attack.

The Croat is predominantly a left winger but he’s capable of playing anywhere across the attacking positions while he also has the hard-working attitude that Mourinho demands from his players, so I think he’d fit in well at Old Trafford.
