Chelsea Forced To Sell Exciting Youngster
Italian youth striker Fabio Borini is heading back to his native Italy after Chelsea agreed to sell him to Serie A side Parma. The 19-year-old moved to Chelsea 18 months ago after leaving Bologna and after just a few appearances for Chelsea, Bolini is now in advanced negotiations to sign for Parma. The Blues would still like to keep hold of Borini but contract talks have broken down, forcing Ancelotti into selling now before losing the talented youngster for nothing in the summer.
The player’s agent Marco De Marchi said:
“The transfer to Parma is not yet official, but the negotiations are at an advanced stage. In recent months there was also interest from Lazio and Roma, but Parma picked up the pace.
“Despite the fact [Chelsea manager Carlo] Ancelotti respects him, we have not reached an agreement with Chelsea to extend the contract, so we have decided to find an alternative solution.
“Fabio needs an environment that will allow him to show his quality, a club with a specific technical plan. In that sense, Parma is the ideal option. In the next few days we will meet again to finalise the details.”
The transfer fee for the teenager is yet to be announced.
