Aubameyang’s Move To Arsenal Imminent After Agreeing £8.8m-Per-Year Contract
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been left out of the Dortmund squad for their clash with Berlin after agreeing a contract worth £8.8m-per-season with Arsenal
The January transfer window is in full swing so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer. Today, a big development on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s move to Arsenal…
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been left out of the Borussia Dortmund squad for their clash with Hertha Berlin after agreeing terms over a contract worth £8.8m-per-season with Arsenal, according to reports this evening.
Aubameyang has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal this month after emerging as a viable replacement for Alexis Sanchez with the Chilean international on the verge of joining Man Utd.
The 28-year-old’s relationship with Dortmund was strained after he was axed from the squad to face Wolfsburg last weekend having missed a pre-match team meeting.
It was Aubameyang’s third internal suspension in just 15 months and the striker was left unimpressed after being publicly criticised by boss Peter Stoger and general manager Michael Zorc.
Aubameyang returned to training on Monday and Dortmund initially insisted that the player would be involved against Hertha Berlin on Friday night unless there were any fresh developments.
So it’s easy to understand why Arsenal fans are getting excited as Aubameyang has now been left out of the squad for the trip to Berlin with Dortmund confirming he’s had his head turned.
Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Aubameyang has now agreed personal terms with Arsenal over a three-and-a-half-year contract worth around £8.8m per season ahead of a potential £53m move.
German outlet Bild also claim a move to the Emirates is now ‘probably imminent’ so it appears Arsenal are now closing-in on what would be a sensational signing for the club.

Aubameyang is one of the best strikers in Europe as he netted 40 goals last season and already has 21 to his name this campaign so he’ll certainly bring a much-needed goal threat to the team if he does complete a move to north London.
