Chelsea Team News: Conte Confirms Double Injury Blow As 5 Could Miss Arsenal Trip
Antonio Conte has confirmed a double injury blow as up to five Chelsea players could miss the trip to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup tomorrow night
Chelsea will be looking to book their place in the final of the Carabao Cup when they take on Arsenal in the second leg of their semi-final at the Emirates tomorrow night.
Antonio Conte has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s provided a team news and injury update ahead of the game.
The Blues boss has confirmed a double injury blow with the news that Cesc Fabregas and Alvaro Morata will miss the trip across London tomorrow.
Morata sat out the win over Brighton at the weekend due to a back injury and the Spanish international won’t recover in time to take on Arsenal so Michy Batshuayi could keep his place up front.
Fabregas also missed the 4-0 victory over Brighton on Saturday due to a hamstring problem and the midfielder will now miss the chance to play against his former club at the Emirates.
Chelsea also have doubts over three more first team players as Conte says Thibaut Courtois, Gary Cahill and Danny Drinkwater are all rated as 50/50 to be passed fit tomorrow.
Courtois is still nursing an ankle injury, Cahill missed the trip to Brighton with a hamstring issue while Drinkwater has an ankle problem so all three face late fitness tests to see if they’ll be in contention to face Arsenal.
However, there was some positive news as Conte confirmed that Andreas Christensen is available for selection despite picking up a head injury at the weekend.
Antonio Conte reports that Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas are out of tomorrow's game. Morata has a problem with his back. A couple of other players will be checked before the game.

Chelsea head to the Emirates after being held to a 0-0 draw in the first leg at Stamford Bridge so the tie is finely poised head in to tomorrow’s decisive second leg.
